This week was a really exciting week! We had
Elder Zeballos, of the Seventy, come down to our mission and do zone
conferences with our whole mission. Yesterday he came to the zone of Cerro, the
zone in which I am serving in, and he talked to 5 of the 10 zones. It was absolutely
incredible! I learned so much! At the beginning of the conference President
Smith and Hermana Smith both talked with us about prayer. It was so powerful
and I learned so much! A couple weeks ago in an interview with President I
asked him how I could improve my prayers. He taught me a process that changed
the way I prayed and has changed the relationship I have with our Father in
Heaven. In President Smith's talk he said that, "Prayer is work."
Sometimes we think of prayer as a requirement before we start working.
Sometimes we say prayers because we have to or because we have a lot of work to
do. I have seen that a lot in my mission. Where I have a lot to do and I kneel
down to prayer because I have to so I can get back to work. But we don’t
realize that our work starts when we go down to our knees. It was really
something that impacted me. This week we have been working really hard with a
family that will be baptized the following week, Jose and Lujan. They are going
through a lot of economic troubles right now so please put them in your
prayers.
